CULTURE : FINAL RUN OF THE ‘’EVENING IN THE VILLAGE’’ INITIATIVE FOR THE 2023/2024 FINANCIAL YEAR

THE BELINGA FOUNDATION’s technical team is preparing to close its activities this year as part of the <<Evening in the Village>> initiative.

This final event, to be held this Saturday 08 June 2024 at Ngomessane II, will bring together the Essamane tribe of the Mengong county, particularly those from the villages of Ngomessane II and Ngoulessamane, i.e. between 1,000 and 2,000 people.

To achieve this, THE BELINGA FOUNDATION teams are hard at work communicating with and sensitizing the populations concerned and those in the surrounding area, to ensure that this activity is a success and that it generates more support for THE BELINGA FOUNDATION. NICOLE BELINGA MFOU’OU (Belinga Foundation ‘s Head of the culture départment ) and His Majesty ANGON SIMON PIERRE (Chief of the Ngomessane ll village, host village) reassure that everything will be ready on the day

In addition, the eight (08) previous descents of the <<Evening in the Village>> initiative promoted by THE BELINGA FOUNDATION have enabled people to experience, learn and immerse themselves in the culture, traditions, habits and customs of the EKANG, BULU and FAN-BETI peoples. They also enabled us to unseal, discover and identify artistic and cultural talents whose existence was unknown in our district, and who have been registered to perform and exhibit their skills during the 3rd edition of the <<BIA SO MENGONG>> Festival, which promises to be a great success in the very near future.
