Second year validated for the Zero Health initiative, which on Wednesday May 29, 2024 completed the 2023/2024 budget year in the village of Ekouk.
The raid covered the villages of Ekouk, Mbondo, Ke’eke, Adjab and Ebolebola. A total of 17 people were treated, 14 with modern medicine and 3 with traditional medicine.
This brings the total number of people treated by the Health Zero initiative to over 1,200 in 11 visits since its launch in February 2023. The initiative has also detected more than a dozen cases requiring urgent care and special attention. Thanks to this initiative, over 2 million worth of essential medicines have been supplied to the population at reduced prices. Finally, it should be noted that this initiative is the very first in Cameroon, and indeed in Africa, to offer both traditional and naturopathic medicine on the same platform.
