The great caravan of knowledge and education is making a stop at the Bilingual School Complex of Mengong for its second day, as part of the 4th edition of the Sikolo ane mfi initiative, proudly supported by The Belinga Foundation.

Agenda: A day of celebration, competition, and creativity featuring the participation of several schools:
EM Ngomessan, Mekamemvom nursery school , Mengong Bilingual nursery school, EM Francophone Mengong Centre, EM Abiete Yekombo, EP Abiete Yekombo, EP Mengong Group 1 & 2, and EP Bilingual Mengong

Highlight Activities:

• Inter-school Quiz Match
• Educational talk on Ekang culture
• Arts competitions (cooking, drawing, pottery, weaving…)
• Traditional and modern dances
• Playback performances
• Sack race
• Best Bulu proverb contest
• Songo, draughts, and football tournaments
• Awards for best pupils, best teachers, and best school heads

 

 

Sports Highlights: Preliminary football matches kick off on October 23 at the Cocam Stadium — a now iconic venue, also used for the Fraternity Tournament during the Bia So Mengong Festival.

Sikolo ane mfi is The Belinga Foundation’s own way of promoting stress-free and inclusive education, while encouraging healthy competition among learners.

It’s a true celebration of knowledge, unity, and pride.
