The ‘Health Zéro’ initiative reflects THE BELINGA FOUNDATION’s clear commitment to bringing healthcare services closer to vulnerable populations—children, pregnant women, the elderly, and persons living with disabilities—in order to facilitate their access to essential, quality care. Indeed, access to quality healthcare remains a major challenge for populations living in rural areas, given the difficulties often encountered, such as rural roads that are frequently impassable, the high cost of transportation to urban health centers, and above all, the lack of knowledge of preventive and curative care among these vulnerable groups.

In response to these pressing realities, THE BELINGA FOUNDATION, through the ‘Health Zéro’ initiative, provides financial support and multiple donations of medical equipment to health facilities in the Mengong locality. Each month, it deploys its mobile health caravan, composed of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—nurses, specialist doctors (dentists, ophthalmologists)—who offer free consultations, medical advice, and care, along with a mobile pharmacy stocked with a wide range of low‑cost medicines. In doing so, the initiative contributes to the well‑being of the population, which forms the foundation of sustainable rural development
