Strong ties to local communities

Local development through grassroots action

THE BELINGA FOUNDATION as an NGO has proven its worth over the years. It has evolved to focus today on the concept of “Sustainable Rural Development.” The five (5) pillars of its mission are: Arts, Culture, Health, Education, and Sustainable Development.

THE BELINGA FOUNDATION is based in the United States, where it was legally established in 2018. It has been operating in Cameroon since 2019, having been registered under the NGO framework pursuant to Order No. 000047/A/MINAT/SG/DAP/SDLP/SA/CBA of May 30, 2023, issued by the Minister of Territorial Administration, in accordance with the 1990 laws governing associations, which uphold the freedom of association.

The Foundation carries out various activities in the United States and Africa, with the support of more than 400 volunteers. Its work has had a positive impact on the lives of more than five million people.

Its main objective is to contribute to the sustainable rural development of communities in the region, the nation, and beyond, through multiplier effects. Collaboration with local partners, the Government, and traditional authorities is essential to the successful achievement of its vision.
