The other sporting highlight of the day was the four semi-finals of the men’s and women’s soccer tournaments.In the men’s competition, Fortissimo crushed USA d’Abiete 4 goals to nil, while Tikari beat Reims 2 goals to nil. In women’s football, Doum FC beat Mengong Yat FC 5 goals to nil, while Fortissimo beat Nkolbembe 2 goals to nil.

The day continued with what is undoubtedly the highlight of the cultural activities at this year’s festival, the Miss election. For this second round, our beauty queens took to the catwalk in traditional dress, evening wear and, above all, a piece of handiwork.At the end of the suspense, Ngono Esther Fanny was elected this year’s most beautiful woman of the county. Abeng Daniella took first runner-up spot and Mendomo Eyizo’o Anastasie closed the podium.

The Misses give way to the guardians of Yemfek tradition from the villages of Yem, Atui and Ababita, led by His Majesty Mendouane Jean, head of the village of Ababita, and the Yemfek patriarch Hermann Oba Biya.
