FOUNDER

Dr. Steve-Felix BELINGA, MD, FAAN
General Neurologist

Dr. Steve-Felix Belinga Born in Cameroon, Central Africa, arrived in the USA in 1998 to attend College after completing high school in his home country.

He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Georgia State University in Atlanta, obtained his MD from Washington University in St Louis School of Medicine (WashU), and completed his neurology residency training at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

So good was the training in Kentucky that he successfully passed his Board exam without studying, and in half the time allotted in 2012.

His full time employment began at Mercy Hospital and Clinic in Fort Smith, where he built their first stroke program. He was also Service Chief of Neurology, Stroke Program Director, Medicine II Department Chair, Medical Executive Committee Member, and Member of the 4-state Stroke Collaborative Initiative.

In 2020, Dr Belinga was elected Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN). He has owned The Belinga Clinic for nearly 7 years now. The clinic has expanded to 3 main locations (Fort Smith & Russellville, AR as well as Wagoner, OK). The 4th one will be in Dallas, TX.

Dr Belinga has many passions, including his 3 children. 2 of them have Autism, don’t understand language, but are otherwise so healthy, they’re outgrowing him fast. His other passions include family, community work and philanthropy through the work of The Belinga Foundation.

The focus is on rural sustainable development via Art, Culture, Health, Education, and Sustainable Development, with the hope of building bridges between cultures, particularly between America and Africa.

Dr Belinga speaks Bulu, French; loves to travel, loves to learn about other cultures; is learning Spanish and Piano with his daughter.
