On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the village of Ondondo witnessed an extraordinary day as the Santé Zéro initiative team from The Belinga Foundation provided medical care to its residents.
The team arrived at Notable Claude Bekono's residence, situated next to the COCAM stadium, at 8:09 AM sharp, and quickly set up the necessary equipment to start delivering care.
As the clinic opened its doors, patients began to arrive, and a total of 19 individuals were registered, including 3 for dental care and 6 for ophthalmological issues.
Despite the challenges posed by the lack of electricity, which limited the dentist's operations, the team demonstrated remarkable dedication and determination in providing quality care to the patients.
The participation of various health partners in this charitable initiative was truly commendable, with each contributing their expertise and support to make the event a success.
Following a busy morning, the team gathered for a small end-of-year meeting. The Head of the Axis, on behalf of the Chairman of the Board of The Belinga Foundation, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the team for their outstanding work since October 2024.
He highlighted the significance of the Santé Zéro initiative in providing quality healthcare to rural populations who often face significant barriers in accessing such services.
The regent of the late chief concluded the event with a poignant speech, extending his sincerest appreciation to the Belinga Foundation for its unwavering commitment to the community.
This day will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on the residents of Ondondo, who were able to benefit from quality medical care thanks to the Santé Zéro initiative of the Belinga Foundation. The team's tireless efforts and dedication to improving the health of rural populations are a testament to their unwavering commitment to serving the most vulnerable members of society.
It is worth noting that The Belinga Foundation, established in 2018 and officially launched in 2021, works tirelessly towards sustainable rural development through its five core pillars: art, culture, health, education, and sustainable development.
The Santé Zéro initiative is a key component of this mission, aiming to provide quality healthcare at an affordable cost to rural populations.
