Doungou, April 30, 2025 – Despite unfavorable weather, the team from The Belinga Foundation arrived in full force in the Doungou chieftaincy, marking the seventh Santé Zéro outreach mission of the year. A rainy day, yet rich in care, compassion, and humanity.
Located in the heart of Yekombo territory, the Doungou chieftaincy warmly welcomed the initiative. Patients from Doungou and surrounding villages—including Mvangue, Endam I, and Emanemvam—came to receive free medical services: diagnostics, exams, dental care, eye consultations, and medication distribution.
A total of 34 patients were treated throughout the day. Among them, 8 received dental care, while 17 were seen by ophthalmologists. For many, this was a rare opportunity to access specialized medical services—often out of reach due to distance or financial constraints..
True to its goal of bringing healthcare closer to underserved communities, the medical professionals involved in this Santé Zéro outreach demonstrated strong commitment and professionalism. Once again, The Belinga Foundation proved that neither distance nor rain could stand in the way of their mission to serve.
Patients were encouraged to follow medical advice and adopt healthy practices in their daily lives. Beyond providing care, the Foundation delivered a message of hope and trust in a better, healthier future.
In a world where access to healthcare remains unequal, Santé Zéro stands out as a tangible and compassionate solution to the challenges of rural medicine. In Doungou and beyond, The Belinga Foundation doesn’t just treat illnesses—it rebuilds trust, brings help where it’s most needed, and upholds the fundamental right to health.
