It's also about traditional board games from African society, long before the arrival of the Germans in 1880. You'll have the chance to participate in a Songo game championship.

WHAT IS IT? Well, Songo is a sowing game played by the Ekang people (Eton, Beti, Bulu, Ewondo...), found in Cameroon, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea. Similar to the Awari game from West Africa, it has some specific rules that distinguish it.

Number of players: 2.

Board: 2 rows of 7 spaces (territories), for a total of 14 spaces.

Initial setup: 5 seeds per space.

Objective: capture as many seeds as possible.

Main rules: Players take turns.

The player chooses a space from their own territory, picks up all the seeds, and sows them one by one, from right to left in their own territory, and from left to right in the opponent's territory, in a loop, until the seeds are exhausted.

If the initial space contains more than 13 seeds, it's not refilled on the first turn, and the distribution is done only in the opponent's territory, starting from the left if necessary, until the seeds are exhausted.
