November 10, 2024, marked another milestone in The Belinga Foundation’s « Soir au Village » initiative, aimed at preserving cultural heritage. The foundation’s team chose Ma’anmeyine village as the venue to reconnect the populations with their cultural roots and instill pride in their origins.

Despite challenges due to poor road conditions, the team of volunteers led by His Majesty Zambo Paul Francky persevered. The organization of this edition was impeccable, with a warm fire burning at the center.

The population gathered in a spiral formation, eager to participate in activities steeped in Bantu tradition.The evening’s program featured storytelling, tales, and teachings, all conducted with discipline, harmony, and mastery. A key highlight was the presentation of the village’s genealogical tree, meticulously prepared by Elder Engozo’o Joseph.Cultural and patrimonial animation groups, including Eco-band and Mengañ, performed in a well-defined schedule, adding authenticity to the event.

The festival was filled with profound teachings and joy, making it a night of initiation, celebration, and reverence.Notably, this Village Evening was organized by a single village, yet it drew remarkable mobilization and commitment from the community. The event marked the beginning of a new dynamic, underscoring the population’s attachment to The Belinga Foundation’s project to promote cultural heritage.Through « Soir au Village, » The Belinga Foundation continues to preserve the rich cultural legacy of Cameroon’s communities, fostering unity, pride, and a deeper understanding of their ancestral roots.
